Over the past 9-12 months.

365 days.

I have tried to grow my social media audiences,

I tried to go viral with reels, and YouTube, and grow my twitter(X) and threads accounts.

I did this to try to generate coaching leads via my audience for free with content.

I have tried to build my coaching business, grow my discord mastermind group, and recently my newsletter.

I Filmed 54 videos for IG

I Posted 37 text based posts to IG

300 Stories.

19 YouTube Videos

10 YouTube Shorts

116 Posts of Twitter(X)

112 Threads

3 LinkedIn Posts

Tons of Canva Thumbnails and Graphics

Over last 90 Days I got 95 new IG follows but 62 unfollows. Net 33.

  • 33 Subs on YouTube this year

  • 700 Followers on Threads

  • 20 Members into the Discord.

I signed up 3 clients to my HVT mastermind group.

2 Cancelled.

I got one great opportunity in business for it, got hired, then fired (cancelled)

In total I made $127.81 online through my personal brand this year.

And I’m proud of that money.

I spent about 100 hours on IG content

100+ Hours on YouTube Content

100 Hours on Text Content

And Probably 300 Hours Coaching (3 times per week for 52 weeks x 1-2 hours)

But ain’t no body can live on $127.81 per year…

During this time however, I didn’t give up.

I wasn’t discouraged.

I was pursuing my purpose.

I was ferociously devouring content.

Reading meticulously.

Sharpening my skills.

Learning mental models.

Boosting my communication.

Now I’m good at IG.

Now I’m good at Youtube.

Now I’m good at twitter(X).

Now I’m good at threads.

Now I’m good at coaching.

Now I know what works.

Now I know what topics to talk about.

Now I know how to sell my service.

There’s this mental model called the 5 hour rule.

Meaning you should devote about 5 hours per week to learning a new skill.

That comes out to be about 500 hours of practice per year.

Think you’ll be pretty good after 500 hours of trying something?

Now I’m good at IG. → 100 Hours

Now I’m good at Youtube. → 100 Hours

Now I’m good at twitter(X). → 100 Hours

Now I’m good at threads. → 100 Hours

Now I’m good at coaching. → 100 Hours

This is the difference between mastery, and just being good at it.

Masters push in to every nuance and detail.

They focus for years and decades to get that last 20% edge.

I focused for a year.

And I’m 80% there.

It only takes 1 year for you to learn a new skillset.

To become a polymath.

To get good.

I recommend you choose 5 things you’re interested in.

And get to work putting in your 100 hours this year.
